Our Statment

We, the undersigned organizations, call on you as our elected official to take urgent action in regards to Palestinian rights. For over 75 years, Palestinians have faced the brutality of military occupation, the theft of their land and livelihood, and the denial of their basic rights by the Israeli government.

The incursions by Palestinian resistance forces should be understood within the context of Israel’s decades-long suppression of Palestinian life.

For 16 years, Israel has subjected Palestinians in Gaza to a brutal military siege, cutting Gaza off from the rest of the world and trapping 2.3 million Palestinian residents inside. Israel's siege on Gaza has caused severe shortages of life-saving medicine, food, electricity, and clean water that make life unbearable.

Since Israel’s recent genocide on Gaza, over 34,000 Palestinian Lives have been lost and more than 1.4 million displaced

The U.S. government bears responsibility for this violence through its $3.8 billion of taxpayer funding allocated to the Israeli military.

We demand the end of the siege on Gaza and the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

As such, we call on our public officials across San Diego County to:

  1. Issue public statements condemning Israel’s occupation of Palestine, the siege on Gaza, and egregious violations of human rights,

  2. Acknowledge Palestinian human rights, namely their basic rights to education, healthcare, movement, and above all - the rights of Palestinian refugees to return and live dignified in their homeland.

  3. Endorse federal resolutions and bills that condition, limit, and end U.S. military funding to Israel.
